Why Beach Day Exists
Beach Day started as Embrace in 2019 with a simple idea: the beach is for Every Body. Women, Moms, anyone who’s ever doubted whether they “belonged” in a bathing suit, this day is for you. It’s about showing up, taking up space, and leaving all the worry about what others might think at the door.
That very first Beach Embrace experience included just 3 women. Then 12. Then more, as the magic of connection, laughter, and self-acceptance spread. Over the years, the event has grown and evolved. When I partnered with Gillian Goerzen of Super You, we started offering a 1-day body image experience, and now we’ve grown into two incredible experiences:
Beach Day: A free evening celebration where we come together in our black bathing suits, connect, take photos, and celebrate every body being a beach body.
Embrace Retreat: A full weekend, small group experience focused on connection, body peace, and empowerment, including intentional photo opportunities and workshops to help you leave feeling transformed.
Whether you join just the evening Beach Day or dive deeper with the Embrace Retreat, the experience is transformational. Last year, 55 registered and 37 women showed up, the energy, joy, and support in that space was unforgettable.

A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Brooke. I’ve been a photographer for 20 years, specializing in boudoir for over 14 years. My work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves this experience—not because of a size, shape, or any ideal of beauty, but because every woman deserves to see herself fully, beautifully, and powerfully.
I approach boudoir differently. This isn’t about posing to look “perfect,” it’s about creating space for you to be seen, to feel empowered, and to experience your body in a way that’s freeing and transformative. My goal is always to help women embrace themselves as they are, celebrate their stories, and leave with a visual reminder of just how incredible they truly are.
Beach Day and the Embrace Retreat are extensions of that philosophy: real, unfiltered, raw & joyful experiences that remind you you belong here, exactly as you are.

FAQ 💬
I'm nervous. Is that normal?
Absolutely! Showing up for yourself can feel big and scary — and that’s exactly why it’s so powerful.
You’ll be surrounded by women who totally get it. We’ll laugh, we’ll cheer each other on, and you’ll leave feeling like a damn queen.
Can I bring a friend?
YES, please do! Just make sure they sign up too and complete the waiver ahead of time. The more, the merrier (and the louder we can cheer each other on)!
Do I have to do individual photos?
Nope! Individual images are totally optional. If you want to step in front of the camera solo, we’ll make it happen — if you'd rather just vibe with the group, that’s perfect too.
No pressure, no judgment, all love.
What if I don’t have a black bathing suit?
We ask for black suits to keep the group photos cohesive, but don’t stress — a black bikini, one-piece, tankini, or even a black sports bra and swim shorts will work!
(If you're unsure, shoot us a message — we’ll help you figure it out.)
What happens if the weather’s bad?
We’ll keep an eye on the weather and email you if anything changes! (But honestly, a little sprinkle just adds to the adventure. 😉) .
How long will the event last?
That really depends on how many people register and participate. Typically about 2 hours, last year we went 3 hours and shot into the dark. The goal is to give everyone time to have an individual image if they would like one. You are not required to stay for longer than you are comfortable with, and welcome to join in whenever you can make it.
